If you're organising your office, or getting ready to move into your first office, then maybe you've got the furniture, computers, and phones sorted out, but what about everything else you need?

Here's what you'll need for your offices

1.    Whiteboards are an excellent way of demonstrating ideas, especially in front of an audience, and can be used to great effect.

2.    Flipcharts are ideal for making a permanent record of meeting notes, and can also be used in group situations.  They can be also used as an aid for presentations.

3.    Folders and binders are essential for storing paperwork in, and can be used for keeping desks tidy.  Perhaps your staff need sales brochures, or product specifications handy, and will benefit from a folder or binder.

4.    Adhesives such as sticky tape, or coloured tack to stick notices to walls, or phone lists to desks are invaluable.  Envelopes that need to be a bit more secure can also benefit from tape. You'll soon find hundreds of uses for adhesives in your office.

5.    If you put on a lot of conferences, then you'll want to make sure that you have everything that delegates expect.  What about handouts and other branded items or enough pens and pads?  If you go to lots of presentations and conferences, then you'll want something to keep your notes in too.

6.    Stationery such as diaries and wall planners as well as business cards and labels and stickers are found in many offices, and with good reason.  Your staff can never be too organised, and it's always a good idea to know what's going on.

7.    Perhaps you need additional desktop storage, such as magazine racks, or shelving, so that your staff can keep everything they need nearby, but that their desks don't look untidy.

8.    If you need to archive old paperwork such as receipts and invoices, then you'll want to keep them somewhere safe and secure.  Why not make sure that your cupboards are meeting your current and future document storage needs?

9.    You might still use a lot of paperwork on a day to basis, and need an efficient filing system, comprising of suspended files and comprehensive filing cabinets.  When was the last time you thought about your filing system?

10.    Despite the rise of technology in the modern office, pens and pencils are still essential.  The paperless office is still a long way off, and so your staff will still need a wide range of pens from basic ballpoint pens and whiteboard pens, to markers and pencils.

Now you know more about the essentials for any office, have you got all the office supplies you need?
