When we talk of Northern Pike Fishing it really is about comparing apples to apples. Before you even get started I know many of you will be saying how much fun you had with your salmon or other fish like that, Well today we are talking about Northern Pike Fishing and nothing else really.

If you are looking for a fish that is almost always biting then you are in search of the right species. These fish can be very aggressive and in reality they can also be very bossy. People base their likes and dislikes on different things when it comes to fishing. So many people ignore pike and go after walleye and perch. Their reasoning is almost always taste. Many people including myself would rather eat perch or walleye then pike. That's all fine and dandy but there are two very important rebutals to that statement.

Secondly you should only be keeping what you can eat in one meal so after that you really should focus on Northern Pike fishing.

You don't need any training, much experience or much for tackle when going after this great lumbering fish. All you need is a rod, reel a few hooks and the desire to have fun and you will be off to the races.

When it comes to fishing for the most part it is about the fun. Oh I know there are people who fish for a living and others who fish to feed their families but we all know these are exceptions to the rule.

At the end of the day its about getting off the couch, heading down to your favorite fishing hole and par taking in some fun Northern Pike fishing,
