As a relative newcomer to the network marketing community, nothing has been more impressive to me than the master marketer's willingness to share incredibly valuable information with the masses. That "give first and receive second" philosophy tends to be the mark of a true leader, whether they have "made it" yet or not. Norbert Orlewicz is one who has made it, yet still continues to refine his skills for the express purpose of mentoring others.
Now, I don't personally know Norbert Orlewicz--yet. I'm just one who benefits from what he does and says. Recently, I listened in on a phone interview with Norbert hosted by David Wood. Like so many other successful MLMers, Norbert described SIX long years of struggle, making very little money, maxed out credit cards and the very real worry about being able to support his growing family. Six YEARS. But he had made a committed decision to succeed in this business. He understood that the difference between the wealthy and the struggling is that the struggling think that they have to succeed. The wealthy understand that they have to fail to succeed.
Obviously, Norbert went on to become an extremely successful online marketer, mentor and seven-figure earner. A year ago, he, along with two MLM business partners, Brian Fanale and Todd Schlomer, introduced MLM Lead Systems Pro, an Internet-based attraction marketing system that packs a real punch for marketers in any MLM. The three founders shared a common goal to inspire and empower struggling marketers to realize their full potential in network marketing.
Norbert Orlewicz is also emphatic that network marketing cannot be a hobby. He is a passionate advocate of continuously educating yourself about the business. He advises beginners to focus on becoming students and devouring the courses and education out there. "Seeing" or "hoping" that the business will work just doesn't cut it. He says that you don't hope your business is successful. You make your business successful.
Like most other top earners, Norbert practices what he preaches and continues to study and learn. He strongly recommends that new marketers begin with one or two marketing strategies and work at them until they have success. Only then should they move on to the next one or strategies. He says it's important to not jump strategy to strategy in order to try things out. Mastering one skill at a time adds to your confidence level and value. People who make money in network marketing are above all consistent.
Not surprisingly, Norbert believes that lead generation is actually the easiest part of the business as long as you are taking daily, consistent action. While he does think PPC is extremely effective, he acknowledges that changes with Google over the past few months have made it a little more challenging for people just getting started. He likes the leverage provided through the free social media marketing strategies like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and My Space.
Once you move into the paid strategies arena, Norbert recommends setting an initial marketing budget goal of $1,000- $2,000 and offsetting those costs through affiliate marketing, leaving the revenue generated from your primary MLM as profit. The idea is to treat your network marketing business as a business. It is not a get rich quick venture. You need to show up every day and work the business. That's the difference between being an employee and being an entrepreneur. You're going to fail again and again and again. You must have confidence that you are going to succeed and you will.
Like anything that's worth having, if you stay in the game just a little bit longer than everyone else, you will eventually win.
