Nokia N95 - A New Phone Set To Revolutionize The Mobile Industry

Nokia introduced the N95 into the market as bench mark for others to follow. It has packed in as many features that could have been possible in such a small palm friendly device. It is comparatively much smaller and lighter than all the other phones in the N series. It has features like combining satellite navigation, a cutting-edge 5-megapixel camera, a media player and PDA functions. This highly sophisticated device is not for the faint hearted.

Design

Nokia N95 has come out with a real beauty this time. It has incorporated a design which slides from both sides. It has a stunning 66mm screen. This two way sliding switches the phone into the landscape mode. Slide the screen upward with a slight push and it reveals a nicely laid out keypad. Push the screen downward and you would see the fashionably touch-sensitive suite of media-player controls. Below the screen control pad with keys with which you can access the menu even when the phone is closed. There is also present the secondary pinhole camera for video calling.

The sides of the Nokia N95 mobile phone have many features like volume keys, a standard 3.5mm headphone socket, and a TransFlash memory card slot etc. The speaker is present on the side. The clarity and sound from the speaker is excellent.

Features

One added feature on the new Nokia N95 phone is the provision of GPS. The device downloads local mini-maps, routes and even voice commands on the fly. Each map covers about 0.5 miles around the device. It projects the map in 2D and 3D format. It also houses full PDA functionalities. The Wi-Fi support for web browsing, email and other office functions are pretty good. It also has S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1, improved RSS and Flash Lite support.

Camera

There is an excellent 5 mega pixel camera present with Carl Zeiss lens and auto focus. The LED flash is quite good for night portraits. It also has MPEG-4 video capabilities. The front screen switches to landscape mode when the slider is pulled down for the multimedia keys. The screen also acts as the view finder as the camera is present tat the back of the device. The lens has been provided with a manual cover. It also houses the mp3 and the FM radio.
