Newbie Internet Marketers, Will You Fail?

Expert Author C. A. Perez

Estimates are that 95% of those that start an Internet marketing business fail!  That's a staggering amount.  Will you be one of them?  I hope not. Here are four things  that you can do to avoid failure in Internet marketing.

  • You can't fail, but you can quit.  But wait you say, "I've been at this four weeks..., four months..., a year... and I haven't made any money yet."  If you buy into the get rich quick talk, you will fail.  Why? If you listen closely to the gurus selling you their systems and secrets, you will hear them say that they have been in the Internet business for several years. They didn't make their big bucks right away.  It took effort and persistence.  Avoid falling for the 'get rich tomorrow' trap and then become frustrated because you haven't made any money in four weeks.  That doesn't mean that some newbie Internet marketers will not make money quickly. Some will, but most will not.  It's true you started your Internet business to make money. You will make money, if you keep at it, but maybe not tomorrow.
  • Learn to say no.  If you have deep pockets, you can buy every tool and secret available.  But you'll spend your days jumping from one theory to another. "This one didn't work. Maybe this one will!"  When is enough, enough? Do you really need that one more secret to your success?  Think about it this way, if everybody buys the gurus' secret, it's no longer a secret.  Do you want to know the secret?  The secret is that there is no secret.
  • Get Organized.  Being disorganized is one of the biggest pitfalls a newbie encounters.  If you are real newbie, then information is your first challenge. It is also your greatest challenge.  It's easy to get lost and disorganized in the sea of information.   Where do you start?  How do you start? What do all the terms mean?  You read or listen to a tutorial explaining a concept and find yourself linking to another site to understand the explanation of the first concept. It's like a whirlpool sucking you down deeper and deeper into the bowels of the link underworld.  Find a mentor or training program to steer you in the right direction.  It will help you get organized. This will be money well spent.
  • Take Action.  After you do your research for a good mentor or training program and you choose one, stick with it.   Most gurus teach the same basic information.  You are not losing out on secret information.  Later, once you've made some money, you can reinvest it in the latest and the greatest.  Follow the steps outlined by your mentor/trainer.  Those steps will lead to fulfilling your dream. Take action.
