Many people get frustrated because they can't really understand why they keep getting the same results. They dream of changing, but haven't quite found out that it is because they think the same way that they keep getting the same poor return on involvement.
I want to help you change all of this by taking a look at three keys to a happier life with new habits:
- When it rains, see potential for plants
- When you meet adversity, get stronger
- When you achieve little goals, keep striving
Let's go through these points to help build new habits.
Rain Is Good for Plants
We all know sunny weather might feel far better than rainy days. It's perfectly natural to be uplifted even more when the sun is shining from a clear sky.
But think about this: once you change your outlook on things, you will be far better at handling success. When you thrive in all circumstances it's easier to appreciate even small things, and much easier to continue positive strikes when your mindset is positive.
If you think negatively at all times, single successes are waved off as pure coincidence, whereas you're more likely to keep doing things better when you become motivated by each little step in the right direction.
Dress appropriately and have an umbrella with you in your car for rainy days. They happen all the time. By being prepared for both good and bad happenings, you're much better suited for keeping a successful outlook on things.
Get Stronger When Facing Adversity
When you do experience adversity, you should never get discouraged. Take it as it is, and move on. We all experience minor setbacks from time to time. When you begin to sharpen your identity each time you meet a bit of adversity, you will be building stamina.
Stamina in adversity is what separates men from boys. We know life is challenging at times, but we never sit down and feel sorry about ourselves. That lesson came through in the movie JI Jane when the master sergeant said those famous words from a poem by DH Lawrence:
I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.
When You Achieve Little Goals, Keep Striving Higher
As you do see that your mindset changes, and you see that you begin to experience little successes, it's important that you keep striving higher. You haven't reached your goal yet. You can improve your overall impression upon others.
In Conclusion
You can move in the right direction. Little efforts in the right direction will help you take big steps on the long term. Keep fighting, and show your strengths. Let yourself grow and experience true innovation by taking these three steps to heart. Good luck.
