How to network: Understanding that networking has 3 steps can make things so much easier
1-First Impression/Initial connection; relax be You, (You means Be Professional) always have updated printed business cards, be approachable, be interested, remember is about learning about them, and how you could help them or connect them.
2-Build a relationship; Your intuition can tell you, who you want to continue in contact, find common interest, sports, likes and be a true fan, learn how to help them.
3-TT & T; Trust Transform in Transactions; Building a good relationship (in most cases) good friendship, turn into transactions at later time. People do business with people they like and trust, if your business is the perfect match for them, you can rest assure those transactions will duplicate and convert in steady income.
You heard it before: "When you give Freely, You receive Freely", Do not be a vendor, be smart, fun, and interesting in your introductions. They will be asking for your business card. Networking events to me are the best part of being in business, most events have keynote speakers or seminars, there is always so much to learn, so many great people to meet, and they are so willing to openly offer their knowledge.
