Looking to that group to build my business is like shucking bushels of corn and hoping to not find corn once I get done shucking. Yet often times that's exactly what I got - and crabby corn to boot.

To say this was frustrating is an understatement and it caused me to search for a much better way to build my business. I figured that if I could generate my own leads - leads who actually had some interest in what I was doing - then I would have an endless supply of interested people to talk to about my business.

It's a very simple and straight forward process. It's not always easy, because you need to have know the ins and outs of the Internet TODAY to stay competitive in today's marketplace, but it is simple.

The process starts with something called a "lead capture page".

This is a page you design with the sole intention of capturing the information of your target market. It is not meant to present the business opportunity. Its sole purpose is to peak their curiosity, and cause the prospect to enter their information if they want to find out more about what you have for them - what you're offering.

Once they've opted-in, you collect them as a lead and they are entered into your marketing funnel where they will stay and you can network with them for as long as you continue to provide value.

Once your lead capture page is in place, the next step is to turn on the traffic faucets and fill your lead-getting pipeline with prospects.
