In the first couple months of your business, if you are not generating leads consistently and making enough money, your network marketing income potential is dangerously thin. That is just the nature of the beast, and one of the reasons why there are loads of competition existing today. Businesses are coming up with different inventions one after another, creating the next best product or service that will satisfy consumers better than the latter. It is quite ridiculous the variety of options, and random gadgets available on the market. Sometimes it feels like consumers need a manual just to figure out what they are looking for. Let's face it though, we are complex people who like immediate results.

Some say that the multi-level marketing industry is a circle of pyramid schemes, and others think that they are all legitimate businesses that you can create financial freedom in. Both are wide off the mark. Network marketing has come of age, in the 21st century where the internet and technology has practically taken over our lives! Anyone can build a thriving online business with the right set of skills. This is not the easiest job, but it is not the hardest either. With a motivated, self disciplined person who is willing to acquire the needed skills, it can create a significant income, up to six figures annually in a short time (2-3 years). That is astounding; think about how much that would help your family! Unfortunately, the internet and technology that surrounds us is also making so many people lazy. So, working hard for a few years to create financial independence and relieve one from the day-to-day work force, does not sound appetizing to all. For those it does, they cannot even seem to fathom the possibility. The fear of failure hunts us all, but it is those that have the courage to face those fears that will make it to the top.

Marketing is the key word to focus your attention on to reach success. It is imperative that you get involved and learn more than the basics about social media and effective marketing strategies. With a variety of options, you really need to find the best that will work for you and your business. How much time do you have to dedicate each day, week, or month? How much money is allocated to your marketing budget? If you did not know you needed a marketing budget, please create one. There are numerous marketing and advertising methods, even for free. Going the free route, is obviously the best route to take when you have no budget. This is typically the case for newbies. If you lack funds become an expert in social media (#1 being Facebook), free advertising, and blogging (article marketing). You will still generate leads and earn income, but you need to focus on activity and not results. It is going to take you longer, than if you can buy specific marketing tools to leverage your time. Make sure you realize this, and have patience! With patience comes self-development which is another key component to achieving success.

Once you start generating cash flow, you need to invest it back into your business. That is one problem most people face in the network marketing world. Everyone gets into the business, because they need more income. Once they start to see the dollar signs, they turn around to pay bills or use it elsewhere. Re-investing that money is going to be the most effective business strategy you can adopt. That is why marketing tools are necessary, in the fact that you are educating yourself and getting step by step training. These tools are created by professionals for a reason; to leverage your time, generate the most traffic possible to your sites, and increase your gross profit!

Make sure you take action and put money in your marketing budget. Writing everything down helps to solidify your goals. So, create an outline and plan ahead. It takes network marketers several years before they realize that they really do need to spend a little money to make money. This is not just a ploy that other professionals tell you to make money from you. Get started off on the right track, so you can help others. Be wary, if the company you are in or thinking about being in, is telling you to buy a significant amount of extra tools, you may want to seek out a different company. There are just a handful of tools, outside your primary business, to use that will be extremely vital. Before you obtain any of them though, be sure to do your research and read reviews. There are several great tools to utilize, so purchasing one at a time will keep your check book in balance. Many tools or systems exist that are dispensable, so chose wisely.

Remember, that you are the biggest asset in your business. For your business growth and income potential, you need to expand YOU.
