Network Marketing - Are You Known in Your Neighborhood?

Quite often I hear others say, "I can't find any customers" My first question is, "Do your neighbors know what you do?"

It's actually surprising how many people want to market to strangers yet don't let their own neighbors know what they have to sell.

There is a world of difference between letting someone know you're involved in network marketing and being a pushy sales person (is salesperson one word?). I am probably more sensitive than most when it comes to sales pitches. I so strongly dislike sales pitches that I am always erring on the side of caution when I let others know what I do.

Just tonight, I was out taking a walk and someone I've never met before said hello to me. We exchanged a few pleasantries and when I walked away, the person knew what I sold. I did not ask them to buy anything. I never even offered them a catalog. But they absolutely knew what I sold.

There are many ways to let your neighbors know what you sell:

1. Put a decal up in your window.
2. Put a yard sign up in your front yard.
3. Put a magnet on your car.
4. Offer to host the neighborhood-watch meetings at your home and make sure your home has products wherever appropriate. For example, if you sell bath and beauty products, have them in your bathroom. If you sell cookware, serve snacks based on the product you sell. If you sell home décor, have various pieces around the house.
5. Put posters or awards on your walls for others to see.
6. If your neighborhood has a newsletter, take out an ad.
7. Offer to put together a neighborhood cookbook and sell advertising spots in the front and back. Purchase one of those ads yourself.

Try these ideas and get your network marketing business known in your neighborhood.
