My First Ever Console - Nes With Super Mario Bros & Duck Hunt
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

I was about 10 years old when I got my very first video game console, the NES. With that system came Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt. I was so excited that I rushed directly down to the t.v. room and immediately hooked up the system.

Over the next few months I must have logged in over 200 hours playing Super Mario Bros. The game concept was incredible and it was so easy to learn how to play.

The premise was simple. Mario and Luigi, the main characters of the story, had to battle different characters on their way to save the princess. The game was set in the side scrolling manner and would not allow you to back track once you moved on further to the right.

During each level you could jump up and hit blocks that would give you special power ups or increase you coin total which would in turn give you another life every time you got 100 coins. You would have to dodge characters by jumping over them, on them, or hitting them with fireballs. At the end of each level you had to reach a flag on a pole. When you touched the pole you would finish the level and get bonus points varying depending on how high you touched the pole by jumping at the right distance and speed.

The levels got progressively more difficult as you made your way through the game. You were also able to find secret hidden areas and items that would allow you jump ahead in the game to further levels. Overall I would say that this is my favorite game of all time and still has great replay value.

Go back to a simpler time in gaming! At NESNintendoGames.com you'll fund thousands of listings classic games like Super Mario Bros. You can find out more at Mens Perfume.
