My Favorite Organizing Tool

One of my favorite organizing tools is an over door organizer. The over door organizer comes with 3 to 4 hooks that fit over your door and 20 or more fairly large pockets for storage. The most common use for the organizer is to hold shoes but you can get creative and use it for many other things. I even use one in the garage because small items can be easily overlooked or lost. Using the organizer can help free up valuable drawer space in any of your rooms.

An over door organizer is inexpensive and easy to install. The over door organizers come with either mesh or plastic pockets. I prefer the plastic pockets because visibility is better. Here are some ideas for using the over door organizer:

Bedroom - socks, underwear, belts, scarves, knit hats, slippers, pantyhose, scrunchies, gloves, extra shoes laces, flip flops, and bathing suits.

Office - extra pens, pencils, highlighters, binder clips, paper clips, rolls of tape, printer cartridges, stamps, envelopes, staples, rubber bands and small pads of paper.

Hall Closet - first-aid supplies, knit hats, gloves, small seasonal decorative items, flashlights, batteries, small light bulbs, bulbs for flashlights, extension cords, and small craft supplies.

Garage -. Small bulbs for taillights, washers for hoses, hooks (picture, plants, etc), fuses, extra tubes for bike tires, small rolls of electrical wire, small rolls of waterproof tape and an emergency first aid kit.

Temporary storage - The over door organizer can also be used as a temporary storage space while you are organizing a room. If you have a lot of small to medium size items you need to sort out you can use the organizer to hold them. You clear floor space for the larger objects and eliminate the danger of stepping on and breaking the smaller things.
