I spoke up!
When I was in the hospital, I thought that life is coming to an end for me. So, I thought of do something I liked.
Laugh!
My brother, Perry Lai, made me laugh so much during the months I spent in the hospital, so much that I did not care much about the pain in the numerous injections I had in each day.
In this case, he made me a happy person, I feel people have lost the basic ability since childhood! Laughter!
Some people are so negative in life that even the smallest problems in life will seem impossible to be solved. Imagine this, he somehow hypnotized me into disregarding the pains and suffering, from all the injections and inserted so much positivity into me, that I became receptive to chemotherapy.
I survived, he help me, you need it too!
Now, I have the capability to move on. And even try make my dreams come through! You have dreams too, why are you sitting there, in your couch or chair?
I accepted the fact that I may be lack of physical strength that many other guys have, but the inner fears of such setbacks are minor now. As I have people asking me about the scar on the back of my head down to my neck. I shrug and tell them it is a surgery scar, and they cringe in fear.
In fact, you do not have to fear. The general perception of a critically ill person is that the individual will not strive for more than survival. But, the body, mind and will is yours. You are well, and should embrace the possibilities of making your dreams happen!
