Advertising can take many shapes and forms. The ones you choose are a function of what you are selling and the available funds you have to spend on advertising.

- Direct mail--This includes direct e-mail.
- Display advertising
- Internet advertising--Banners are a good example.
- Press releases--There are a few press release sites all over the web.
- Print ads--A bit expensive unless you have deep pockets.
- Radio--Also a bit expensive unless you have a huge wad of cash.
Some of the following advertising ideas will ease your advertising budget. Networking with friends and family is free. It does not cost you a dime. Networking is an ongoing procedure. Wherever you are and whomever you are with, there is an opportunity to say "hi" to somebody. That is a big part of networking. The most successful lawyers and doctors do this all the time. Do not be afraid to talk about yourself or your network marketing business. The other person may very well be excited to talk to you about his network marketing business. Developing a rapport with another person provides a firm foundation for future contact.
Placing a story in your local newspaper can also be a great way to get the word out about your online network marketing business. You could write a story on how your nutritional supplement benefited your kids by enabling them to study better in school. Then you can mention where and from whom they can get your product with a URL to your website or a phone number where the prospect can contact you. By using this method, you brand yourself as an expert on your product or service.
