"The easy way to share pictures and contacts!"

I have to admit that this is one of the coolest apps that I have seen in the App Store. I first saw this app in action in one of Apple's commercials, and when I did I knew this was going to be a must have application. I have come across very few utilities that are both as useful and as easy to use as this one is. Mover+ is the paid version of the "Mover" app and it is used to easily transfer files between iPhone and iPod Touch devices. If you find yourself wanting to send photos, text, links, or contact information to another device, this is really a must have application.

When you open Mover+ it immediately starts searching for other devices in the area. If it finds any it will display that device's name on one of the four sides of the screen with an arrow. By default the application is set to search your local wifi connection for other devices, but the paid app also offers the ability to transfer files via Bluetooth. This allows you to transfer files no matter where you are.

At the bottom of the main screen is a simple menu with four buttons. There is a button to add files to the "desktop," one to "edit" the files on the desktop, another button that lets you set what type of connection to use (wifi or Bluetooth), and the last button gives you information about the app itself.

Once you have selected the information that you want to transfer to another device, sharing is as simple as "flicking" the item in the direction of their device's name on your screen. After trying this several times using both wifi and Bluetooth connections I found that if the app has just been started and you transfer something there is a little bit of extra "lag" in the transfer. Once you have transferred that item though, the connection is even faster than I would have expected.

Adding text from the clipboard or contact information to the "desktop" is just as easy as adding photos. All you have to do is press the "+" button and select either "Add Contact" "Paste". Removing items from the table can be done by either pressing the "edit" button and touching the item you would like to remove, or by pressing and holding on that item.

Something to keep in mind is that if you do not use your Bluetooth regularly, make sure that it is turned on before you open up this application if you intend to use it. While you can select whether the device will search using wifi or Bluetooth, it will not let you know if Bluetooth is turned off. I found this mildly frustrating until I figured out what was going on. Once I went into my settings and enabled Bluetooth the app worked flawlessly and did not even require any setup.

This is one of the few apps out there that has taken Apple's concept for iPhone controls and applied it in a way that just feels natural. If you are a picture junkie and have several friends with iPhone's or iPod Touch's I would definitely recommend this app! The best thing is that even if they do not have the paid version that supports Bluetooth, this app will also work with the Free version if there is a wifi connection available to use it on. At only $1.99 this app will more than pay for itself over time, as you save time. At the very least you can download the free app to see if this is something that you might be interested in.
