Kids love having a place that is their very own. They drape sheets over tables to create their own secret places or use the big box you just emptied to make their own space. If you give them their own building outdoors where they can enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities in their own space, yours will be the most popular yard in town.
You can purchase buildings that are designed to give children their own place to play in a number of styles and prices. You can also get plans to help you build one yourself. Whichever option you take, you want to give your child as much to do as possible to keep her outside of your house and enjoying the great outdoors!
There are a number of types of children's furniture that you can buy specifically for her building or you can use anything that is sized just for her. Depending on the inside room, you can add furniture for a living area, kitchen, and more.
There are also many options for the outside area of the building. Although many offer no more than a front porch for children to enjoy, there are those that also have built in structures designed for activity. Although children need a place where they can spend time together and use their imaginations, they also need to increase the physical activities to make them happy, healthy, and carefree.
You will find many of these structures are built with a clubhouse and attached slides, ladders, rock walls, teeter-totters, and more. Many of the wooden structures that are made for children have a clubhouse section that is atop a slide and ladder so that they may be used to enter and exit their special place. Since they are usually quite expensive, you nee to find one that is recommended for an age range that will work for your child for as long as possible. If your child is four years old, don't purchase a clubhouse and activity center that is recommended for ages 2-4 years. Instead, find one that is appropriate for 4-7 year olds to give your investment a better value.
Some companies make buildings for children separately from their activity sets but you can put them together if it suits your purposes. Just make sure to buy each in the same finish to provide you with a finished project that looks like it was meant to be used together.
The more coverage the building structure has, the more time she will be able to enjoy it. It helps if it offers shelter from the hottest days and from drizzle and wind. You also want to stock the building with the things she and her friends can enjoy doing without electricity like board games and dolls!
Encourage your child to have friends over and enjoy the new home you have supplied for her and her friends to enjoy and let them find out how much fun the outside world can be!
