The trend from having fast food is soon shifting to healthy food. Travellers often fall sick when they travel. They suffer from diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, tiredness etc. This is a common tendency among travellers known as traveller's diarrhea. In order to reduce such cases, restaurants and hotels are being very cautious in the food choice they have. They are offering healthy choice for you on your platter. They are not only good for your health but also good to eat.
Such conditions often occur due to unclean water, spoilt curds, eating expired food products and eating food on the streets. In order to avoid Travelers diarrhea or TD, healthy eating habits must be developed by a customer who is traveling. He must make sure he asks for drinking water which is boiled and cooled up. If you are allergic to certain food ingredients and you have no clue what the peppy sounding dish that you are going to try consists of, ask the waiter before ordering it. You will definitely be tempted to trying new varieties while on a vacation, try it but make sure it does not have something that you'll have food reactions.
The management of the hotel or the kitchen incharge should cross check on the expiry date of the products used for cooking. Special care should be taken while offering curds, if they are outdated they have bad bacteria that will affect the customer's health. Similarly, vegetables used for salads must be cleaned well before serving them on a platter. It is good to eat salads to treat TD but if they are not clean, then it may worsen the situation.
Take adequate care to see to it that a customer is not served some thing that is spoilt. You must take moral responsibility to inform the customer who has ordered a particular dish that it is not served for that particular day. Do not simply serve it, to save your skin.
Foods full of bad fats, lots of calories and no nutritional value are: bags of chips, and lots of sodas. If you usually do this, then it's a strict 'NO'. Eating junk will spoil your vacation as you end up feeling fatigued with stomach pain, so avoid it! High carbohydrate meals boost your energy, you can have them. Avoid food with a lot of sugar, it may put you to sleep. Toast with jam, oatmeal with fruits or omelets with vegetables should suffice for a good break fast while on a vacation.
