Essentials of Medical Malpractice

The Victims of medical malpractice are termed as "plaintiff" and the one who has caused harm is known as "defendant". According to the South Carolina Supreme Court following are some elements that the plaintiff has to prove:

1. There was a physician- patient relationship.
2. The practice and procedure adopted by the physician has caused harm to the patient.

These suits are very expensive and time taking so you must prefer that the lawyer you have chosen is an expert in such cases and has good experience in this field. It is expected that the medical professional are the one who save our life but their minute negligence can do huge blunders. They do miracles but on the other hand their carelessness can take away the life of innocent patients or may cause serious damage to them. Doctors are considered as the life savers and they should try and maintain their reputation.
