You think that just because you are a mature dating adult that you won't come across a lot of confusion as it concerns the person you're dating. There will still be plenty of confusion, confusion is a part of life and you need to learn how to deal with it. You'll meet someone great, but you will let nagging questions pull away at you until you are spinning in a million different directions. 

Well that's okay, just because you are a mature dating adult doesn't mean you have all the answers. You will still need a little guidance from time to time and this is a good thing. Meeting someone and connecting, but having a different financial status

This is going to suck of course, but you will eventually meet someone in your mature years that you'll get along with great, you'll love this person, you'll have a ball every time you go out together. But you'll begin to notice that you're the one who's always paying for things. To your horror you'll learn that this person isn't as high up their on the social latter as you are. This doesn't have to be a bad thing. Take a step back and ask yourself just how important is money to you. Is it that important that you can't get over making a little more money then the other person? 

Wanting more then a connection

When you were younger you may have wanted someone you were simply attracted to and that your friends would approve of. Things like status might have played a big role, and other people finding your love interest attractive. But now as a more mature dating adult you may find all you want is a simple connection, this is fine, but now you'll discover that even a connection might not be enough to please you. Just because you are more mature does not mean you still won't crave some of the same things you craved as a younger person, and I suggest you don't be afraid to express these things. 

What to do if the person if seriously flawed

You will meet people who'll have flaws you won't be willing to content with. You have to choices here. You can choose to deal with them and understand you're at an age where almost everyone you meet will have some baggage, this includes you. Dealing with this baggage and their perceived flaws will be important in your quest to find someone and you should not let them get in the way. It will all depend on whether or not the flaws you come across are absolute deal breakers to you or not, but keep in mind that your flaws might be deal breakers to them as well. 

Mature dating means actually having enough courage to admit when you are confused. You will not know everything and it will certainly help to be able to admit this to yourself.
