What we live today is a fiercely competitive scenario both online and offline. If you are a CEO of a company and see that your company has a website of its own and because it is inevitable to have one today! So how to go about it? You want to create a website for which you get the necessary registration and hire web designers and developers to design and develop a website for you. Then you decide that your website should have specific content and your web designers will spice up your website for increasing popularity. But even after having a great design and good content, if you do not have as many people visiting your web site, there is wrong somewhere and it could be a flaw in your website marketing.
So what to do now? Include your website URL in all your offline advertising campaigns. Let your existing customers know that you now have an online presence. If you are sending out emails or even snail mails as a matter of fact, make sure to include your website details so that they can check out your company online. If you are giving out promotional products, print your website address on all such items so that customers need not hunt for phone numbers or wait endlessly for information. Make use of press releases well both print and web.
Next, submit your web address to the right places or rather the search engines, web directories and classifieds. Strong links will direct target traffic to your website. The URL you promote must ideally be relevant and make customers identify your company/products/services thereof. Make good use of back linking technique. However, make sure that you host relevant links and not spam links. Deceptive tactics could be disastrous in a long run, so never try to fool search engines or your customers. Content syndication and similar feeds can also help some extent. Make sure your staff use your company website to interact with your customers.
Become active on various Internet communities. Get yourself active with blogs and post relevant comments or blog posts, not spam! Include your URL for the convenience of users. Encourage interaction and show others that your company is open to their respective feedback. Go for an attractive newsletter and give them relevant news items that would help them. Get closer to public as well and make them more interested in your company.
Last not the least keep updating your content regularly. Do not deviate from the topics. Make sure your website has fresh and good content that people want to read about. Do not put in too much on your website either. Do not go overboard you're your design.
These simple yet smart strategies will go a long way in promoting your website and eventually the business you aim to promote.
