With a line up like this it's hard not to hit a home run! Mark Joyner, Matt Bacak, Robert Allen, Bill Glazer, Marshal Sylver, Shaun Casey, Ted Nicholas, Kevin Wilke, Joe Sugarman, Keith Wellman, and Dan Kuschell, were just some of the huge name presenters at the STFTT Event. I personally saw and sat in the audience next to other big name guys like Joey Smith and Tellman Knudson. It was truly a who's who in the "Internet Marketing World" mixing it up with new marketers. It was totally cool to see theses huge Internet Marketing Legends, but what was even more amazing was the presence of guys like Ted Nicholas, Joe Sugarman who almost everyone one of these Guru's attribute their huge success in internet marketing now being possible because of the things these marketing legends did. In fact Matt Bacak went into great detail on how these men where his mentors and how these guys laid the tracks for of of us who sell and promote products online.
My notes from the event are filled with so many great comments from these great speakers. Mark Joyner explained to everyone that the "Recession" is and always will be the past. Since it is determined by two consecutive business quarters going down but to keep in mind that all that data is the past. We could be out of a recession now and not even know it. His main point was, What do you do in a recession to make money? Answer, "The same thing you do when your not in one."
Matt Bacak gave us a cool look into what it's like in his office and guided us on the proper ways to approach GURU's...."Don't Sell Hamburgers To Vegetarians" was his great quote. In other words make sure your offer fits the person's list you hope to do business with if not you should look for one who does. So in other words Matt sells to internet marketers don't go to him with a music product or in other words"Don't Sell Hamburgers To Vegetarians"
Robert Allen told a really great story about how no-one being willing to hire him was the best thing that ever happened to him. After 27 rejections He later figured out what all these employers realized. They knew that Robert was never going to be a great employee because he had the entrepreneurial spirit. Those of us with the entrepreneurial spirit understand that...I guess it the same as, "To many cooks in the kitchen or To many Captains on the boat." You all know what I mean but the main thing is knowing if this is you. If it is then you better re-consider being someones employee because you will probably end up hating what you do.
If you are just starting out, or if you have never been to an "Off Line Event" like "Survival Tactics For Tough Times." I am encouraging you to do what ever it takes to get your, "You Know What" to one soon! It will change the way you do business and will open you eyes to new opportunities. This is my fourth event this year. I now mastermind with a group of successful marketers once a week and have many new contacts in the IM Industry. One of my partners is already working with "Keith Wellman" so you just never know when you might make that big break and be one of the next IM GURU's but I always like to remind everyone that you don't have to be to make it big online. The majority of what I do is all local business and it can be hugely lucrative as well. They say if you get one good idea from a conference it was worth it. I have an entire notebook full so I must have hit the mother load. I will leave you with this quote from Ted Nicholas, "The price of education is paid once, the price of ignorance is paid forever." So next time your wondering if it's worth the time and money to go to a off line event remember this post and I am sure your answer will be "Hell Yes!"
