Making Your Web Site Content-Rich

Getting the customer to stay on your Web site and getting them to return are important to the success of your online business. Keep the content useful, informative, compelling, exciting, and somewhat light-hearted. You want to create the words, headings, and images that will hold the customer's attention. There are a number of ways to do this:

1. Get the customer to take action with content, such as Click Here!, Buy Now!, or Take Action Now!. You want the customers to interact with your Web site in some way.

2. Tell the customer the benefits of clicking on a link and exploring your site. ("Visit our News page", "Check out these great Specials", "Win a Trip", "Play a Game", etc...)

3. Briefly explain what your business is about and its mission.

4. Use quality images of the products and services that you provide. Remember a picture is worth a thousand words.

5. Let your customer know that there are real people behind your Web site. Personalize the site and tell something about yourself.

6. Have a page with pictures of you and your staff.
