Making your own subliminal messages is something that crosses a lot of people's minds once they've discovered what these sneaky hidden messages are and how they can be used to our advantage. So, how can you make a subliminal message that won't be noticed consciously by the recipient?
Start by recording the message you want to be "heard" subconsciously. You don't have to whisper this almost inaudibly - you can use software to take care of that later - just speak in a normal voice. And make sure that the message is one a child would understand. We're dealing with the subconscious mind here and it reacts much, much better to clear and simple commands.
Then select the music that's going to mask the subconscious message. Naturally, in these days of correctness, this should be something that you're allowed to use. I'm not going to lecture you about copyright - you know what gives - just be aware of it, especially if you're going to be selling your newly created masterpiece.
Then it's a simple matter of layering the two tracks together. In years gone by, this would have been a precision job for a highly trained sound engineer. Nowadays it's pretty much drag and drop with almost any sound software.
After that, you need to adjust the sound level of the spoken - soon to be subliminal - track. This can be a bit trial-and-error but once you've done your first few subliminal recordings, you'll find it will become second nature.
All that's left then is to burn the track to CD and play it to yourself or - if you're sneaky - your unsuspecting victim.
