Generally, the only thing that we know from pizza is that pizza is high in total fat, saturated fat, sodium and calories. That is why consuming more pizza can lead to being overweight and obese.

For you, the big fan of pizza, this article may be surprised you that it is possible to enjoy healthier pizza. Of course it is not about pizza from your favorite restaurant, like Pizza Hut, Mc Donald, etc. But, it is about pizza made with real crust, real tomato sauce and pure olive oil.

Men's Health, a scientists writing in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition has found that consuming pizza is able to reduce the risk of you getting heart attack. And here is a trick to make your healthier pizza: top it with vegetables, part-skim cheese, and use whole wheat crust.

Luckily, you are possibly to find some pizza with whole wheat crust, but it is doubtful that you will find pizza with part-skim cheese. Thus, to make your healthier pizza, you can only buy the ingredients at local grocery store and make your own pizza.

If you order a pizza at a restaurant, be sure to eat a healthy green salad first, so that you feel full before ending up eating half of the pizza. However, the best way to enjoy a healthy pizza is to make it yourself, since you can better control the ingredients.

Take the opportunity to be a creative pizza chef with lots of healthy toppings: roasted chicken, black beans, salsa, spinach, broccoli, corn, etc. - all healthier and tastier choices than you will find on the standard pizza shop menu. Make reduced fat cheese the finishing to add flavor and keep the fat manageable.

If you make your own pizza, it is easy to create a healthy, quick dinner that can be enjoyed more often. A healthy pizza? Why not?!
