Whoever said that relationships weren't difficult, has obviously never been in one! It's not up to everyone else to tell you what to do with your relationship, or how you should just give up on your ex. The only person that's responsible for your life is you, and once you've made up your mind with what you want to do you need to go for it.
There isn't much anyone can say to make a breakup hurt less. Looking back on it you may start to feel like the reasons behind the fighting were petty, and you wish you could take them back. While this is a good thing to realize it's not a good idea to go running to your ex.
The first thing you need to do is figure out why you broke up. If you go back to your ex now things are never going to get better. You have to figure out what the problem was so you can fix it for the future.
This isn't a good time to blame your ex for everything, or take all the fault yourself. Just be honest while you're evaluating the relationship. What's it going to take to make things better the next time?
If you are just going to break up again why even bother. You're both going to have to learn to tolerate each other and listen. Good communication is at the heart of any successful relationship.
Here's the thing, it's so easy to go wrong when you're trying to fix things with your ex. Take advice that's been proven to work for others, learn from other people's mistakes. That's the best way to avoid failure.
