We put so much time into Christmas shopping, cooking and putting decorations up; perhaps we should combine one of those tasks with a friendly soirée for additional enjoyment. How about throwing a cookie making or Christmas decorating party with a number of selected friends who would have a great time spending their time at Christmas in the kitchen? All the contents for this would be supplied by yourself and you could even make the amounts to the proportions of your choice.

By simply supplying all the ingredients to make the cookie dough in bulk, if you find some extra helpers it will not take a great deal of time to prepare and cut out your Christmas cookies. To save time, while the cookies are baking, you could get some little snacks together and maybe even try a traditional board game to keep the spirits high. I hear playing 'Monopoly' is a great game to play at Christmas time so perhaps you could get the game in ready for your special get together. I'm sure your guests will have great fun playing it. The last thing you could do at your little soirée is do the decorating and then let each of your guests take home a helping of those delicious and mouth watering cookies so that they can enjoy them when they get back home.

How about organizing a carol singing event for your neighbours? All you need to do is invite everybody for a grand evening of carol singing in your neighbourhood, with coffee and afters being served later on over at your place. Or, if you might be worried about your guests staying a little longer than expected at your house, you can always organize your event the other way round, with maybe starting the evening off with a food party and then ending your night with door to door carol singing.

Christmas is most certainly a time for celebrating so with that in mind we must do everything we can to brighten up everybody's festive season. Remember, it's all about spending quality time with your family and friends and enjoying yourself. Plan your Christmas carefully and organize things the way you will feel comfortable but most of all, enjoy your self. Christmas is a time to be merry.
