The information age and business at the speed of thought, right? That is if you can think strait and not get distracted for more than ten minutes at a time as your instant message notification pops up every 25 seconds, or your email notification beeps every time a new email comes in. These technology's and communication tools are real cool but are you leveraging their power or are they just another distraction from where you really want to be. On a positive note, these same tools if leveraged correctly can be extremely effective for running an internet based business from home. Now the question I get all the time is "how to make money from home free"? Great question, and in my experience the question wrong to begin with.

There has been a boom in the United States over the last 25 years that has been termed the quiet revolution, and is picking ups speed as this is being written. Individuals deciding to take their financial lives into their own hands and start some form of small or home based business with the dream of making money from home.

I don't want to dash anyone's hopes and dreams here, trust me I think in terms of, "how can I use my limitations as strength", but the reality is at the very minimum, you'll need an internet connection and most likely a website and a phone of some kind. This kind of blows the make money from home free idea out of the water. Also, if you are making some kind of sales you'll need some kind of payment gateway to receive transactions such as PayPal or AlertPay which will incur some kind of transaction fee; this once again blows the "make money from home free" idea out of the water.

Now, with that said, the time we live in is very cool and you can make money from home, for next to nothing in comparison to starting a traditional business. You will need to approach the concept as you would any business venture and put in the work and stay focused. Affiliate marketing, network marketing, info product publishing, private coaching, information publishing, direct sales, customer service and even technical support, are all things that can be done from home and can turn into a lucrative income stream over time. If you really want to make money from home, I think the best thing to do is do a search for people that already do it and get advice from them. Take a look at what you are good at and see if there is a place in the market that you could fill and add value. Making money from home is very doable today, but I don't think you should approach the concept with the thought process that you will make money from home free.
