Here's a magic card trick that I will reveal. You may want to try it on family or friends. You may already be familiar with this trick, but if not then you will be left wondering how simplistic it really is, and yet still amazes people. It is called the shuffle.

First you take a plain deck of cards and place them on the table in front of the person who you are going to perform this trick to. Spread the cards out on the table face down, then get the person to choose a card from anywhere in the deck, making sure they do not show you the card. Ask them to place the card back into the deck then have them shuffle the deck as many times as the feel necessary, take the deck from them, then tell them with a little magic you will still find their card even though the deck has been shuffled many times. Turn each card over one by one and to their amazement you reveal to them the card they chose.

This will astound them because of the fact that you let them shuffle the deck for as many times as they want, and still you magically found the card. Now to reveal this trick to you, it is quite simple if you know how to do a little acting, you'll see what I mean soon. Now when you ask them to take any card from the deck, you will need to take the card from them for a few seconds, so take the card and hold it towards them without looking at it yourself, and tell them are they sure this is the card.

Now when you take the card from them make sure that you take it using your index finger and thumb and grab the card at the corner, while you have the card between your fingers press slightly into the card using your thumb nail. This will leave a slight impression in the corner of card, then hand them back their card, then have them place the card anywhere in the deck they choose. As long as you know which side the card is placed back into the deck, it will not matter how many times they choose to shuffle the deck, you will always find that marked card.
