This is an amazing base camp stove. It has many things going for it such as it is light, compact and portable and also fits in any backpack. This stove is a real hit for camping trips. If you were to look at camp stoves a majority of them do not offer a multitude of settings. That's where this stove performs better than many others.

The MSR Dragonfly has won several awards and accolades for its design and the way it functions. This has been right since the time it was launched in the market in the year 1998. It gives on an unhampered and immediate charge of the flame. This camp stove is different as it offers you a solution to be able to cook a gourmet meal too. This is because it is a great betterment over the other models in the MSR line.

The wide space and side props enable one to be able to place large pots or pans with equal ease. The stove is amicable with different kinds of fuels such as kerosene, gas, diesel fuel, jet fuel or unleaded gasoline too. When the stove is not in use you can fold it to 1/3 its original size. The burner was first made by MSR and it enhances the power of the flame and keeps it burning for long duration. There is also a windscreen that you can opt to use if you find that the stove is emitting too much heat. The burner cups allow all the heat to be caught and used efficiently without any of it being radiated to the ground. The jets can be cleaned easily by just shaking out the debris, and that's all.

The Dragonfly uses liquid fuel completely and makes it work at top notch performance levels. The chassis is made to handle different kinds of fuels. It is extremely durable and constant and gives great service during institutional and guide settings. The dual-valve that it has allows the flame to be checked and ensures that the pots receive even heat. This makes the food enhanced in taste. The DragonFly can be used to melt snow and make the surroundings warm, and at that point of time it can work at super efficiently high temperatures.

Now, in case you are using white gas for fuel, then surprisingly a 20 ounce fuel tank will be okay to be used for 126 minutes. This is what the manufacturer's state. If you were to use kerosene instead it will generate heat for 153 minutes and diesel fuel for 136 minutes. When you use white gas, kerosene, or diesel fuels all of these will be able to boil one liter of water in just about four minutes. This is great when you take the size and weight of the stove into consideration.

Therefore, if you are the kind who loves to go on back packing trips, or drive down to unknown places, the MSR Dragonfly has been just made for you. If you have adventure running in your veins and love the nature trail and at the same time want to eat a good meal when out then the DragonFly will help deliver that for you. The experience of cooking on the DragonFly is just like cooking at home. And to top that, it is economical and has the compactness, portability and aesthetic features all rolled into one.
