Network Marketing online is a great way to build your MLM business. But there are things that you should be aware of if you want to build your downline like crazy.

One of the most important lessons folks learn when they begin working their MLM business online, is that anything you say or do online can come back to haunt you or help you.

And let me tell you, I was no exception. I made a fool of myself more than once and ticked off a lot of good people as I went along. I didn't mean to, of course... Some of the things I did - I just didn't know any better.

But as with anything else, we take our lumps - admit when we were wrong, and learn as we go. That's really all we can ask of ourselves, right? So, before you jump oline and make the same mistakes as so many other people, take a moment and read carefully.

Search engines are a funny thing. While I was learning to market myself and my business online, I took time out to learn how search engines work... You know - how do they find content? How do they sort their results? How can I make a comment somwhere online and it show up on the search engines the very next day?

Well, needless to say, I don't have the time or the space in this article to go into how the SEs work. But one things for sure - they pick up every little comment on the web and index it on their Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) for the world to see.

So let's use a make believe example so that you see how this can help or hurt your MLM business online.

Let's suppose that you have your online "foundation" setup and running for your team. One day a prospect decides to do a little research on your "system" to see whether you're legit or just another loser fronting as a successful MLMer.

Now this is the point that will make or break your chances of winning this prospect over... If you happen to post a negative (or really dumb) message on a forum somewhere, you can bet that this prospect will find it and draw the conclusion that you're just another chump online.

On the other hand, if they find pages and pages of you posting messages with answers to people's question and giving out honest advice (or at least your honest opinion), you'll have a good chance of winning this prospect over... and you haven't made any effort at all - hardly!

So just keep in mind that SEs are funny in the way they affect your MLM business and your online image. You can ignore its functionality and suffer with all the other guys, or you can use it to your advantage... sort of like character references.
