Losing weight can be tough. We always have to stay focused and determined. Here are a couple of ways that may possibly help you stay on track and noticing results rather quickly.
First of all, carry a little notepad everywhere you go. Use it to track everything that enters your mouth, even water. We want to write down the time, place, whether it was a food or a drink, how much you consumed and the mood you were in before and after consumption. Some people go as far as writing down things that might bring about a craving and types of foods they crave more often. Research shows that people who maintain food diary's also eat 15 percent less than people who don't. When understanding how to lose weight keeping a close eye on everything from food to calories to different types of exercises you might do, could be a very useful tool in your arsenal. It helps us stay conscious of our habits and behaviors and for that reason more able to focus in and correct as necessary.
When first trying to get back into shape I was fast to try the ol' one meal a day trick. But that was before I found out how to lose weight without starving myself for half a day. It may be true that fasting helps you lose weight quickly but it's surely not healthy for your body, mainly your muscles. When burning calories your body uses energy and if you don't supply your body with that energy by eating during the day, it could get the energy it demands from your muscles. Knawing away at your muscles and joints until they are weak and frail. Sounds dramatic, doesn't it. But that's how it works, in a nutshell. Also, individuals who fast to lose weight typically end up gaining the weight back, plus more. When losing weight the healthy way it is encouraged that you eat five to six small meals all through the day. Break your morning meal up into two intervals and eat them a couple of hrs apart from each other. Do the same with lunch and dinner, so that you're eating and re-energizing your body every two to three hrs. Research has shown that by eating in this method calories are evenly distributed all through the body, your body releases a smaller amount of insulin, which keeps blood sugar levels steady and helps control your appetite.
These are just a couple of tips I picked up since I started my journey to getting back in shape. Hope it's been helpful, but the important thing to remember is to find what works for you and stick with it. Good Luck!
