Located in the Cotswold district you will find what is known as Chipping Campden. It's a smaller sized market town, but it's also one where the shopping is well known. The elegant High Street location is known all over as well.

Wool was the trade when the town was first built up back in the time of the Middle Ages. Many people would come just to buy the wool that was located in town. While today it's known more as a tourist location, and houses many older shops and inns.

High Street has some beautiful buildings located that are a wonderful honey colored, and made of limestone. This limestone was gotten locally and is thus called Cotswold stone. Plus you should stop at St. James church that you will be able to see altar fronts that are medieval.

While the museum is located in what once was known as the Court Barn. Here you will be able to see some fabulous crafts and arts of the area. This is also the home of where the Cotswold Games are held each year. So if you get a chance to take a trip during May or June stop and see those games being played.

During that time they also have a bonfire and fireworks, plus dancing and so much more. It's a wonderful time where the locals will celebrate history and enjoy the fun of those games that are going on.

During the 20th century the town became the place for the arts and crafts movement. Where the followers of Charles Robert Ashbee would learn many different crafts. Those include ways to work with metal, copper, and making of jewelry to name just a few.

A wonderful place to visit at anytime of the year is the small town of Chipping Campden.
