We all know and acknowledge that one of the very best ways to make money online is to build a list of subscribers and to affect a marketing strategy with that list.
Perhaps you do not have the plan yet or are a little bit reticent about building your list, but now is the time to think positively about doing just that.
The aim of building a list of subscribers is to have a opt-in list of people to trust what you tell them and to be able to point them in the right direction with your 'recommendations' as to what to buy in their quest for an online business.
Ok, you say, but I don't get enough traffic to my website to actually build a list fast enough to be worthwhile! Ah but I will reveal a secret Strategy that will open up a whole new avenue for you to be able to build a solid list of subscribers.
The Landing Page
Let's start with the Landing page, sometimes referred to as the 'squeeze' page.
The sole 'Raison d'être', the very sole purpose of that page is to get people to opt-in to your list, nothing more! You do not want to put anything else on that page that will distract from that one aim, no Adsense ads, no links at all the anything else, no chance that they will click on anything else but the 'submit' button or exit.
The landing page strategy you execute doesn't have to be complicated or 'fancy', a simple text based page with a opt-in box often works better than a fancy all singing and dancing video opt-in page, or one with fancy graphics.
Your landing page needs just two elements, the first being the product or service that you are going to 'give away' to collect that subscribers email address and the other essential part is that opt-in form.
The FREE Report
Ok so something to give away? There are plenty of PLR products out there for this purpose if you can't contemplate the thought that you can create a simple 20 - 30 page report that would be essential information for your chosen niche market.
If you really wanted to up the ante and create something totally unique you could go to somewhere like elance.com and pay someone to create that report for you and that is money well spent.
Ok so we have our report about something essential to know in your chosen niche, now we need to have an autoresponder sequence to welcome your new subscribers.
Assuming that you do have an autoresponder service, if you don't I would recommend 'Aweber' as being the best or If you want to start out free there is Listwire, you will put that opt-in form on that landing page.
Don't worry either if you do not have a sequence of emails to put into your autoresponder because I can let you have a sequence at a very good price!;-)
Anyway all you need at the moment is a decent autoresponder service, Aweber, and a welcome message to let your new subscriber know where to download their free report.
You can think about putting more messages into that autoresponder after you have put your landing (squeeze) page onto the web.
That's it, that's your plan now go make some money...
Ah, but you say.."Ah, but If I don't get any traffic then I will not get anyone to subscribe to my list and won't be able to make any money online!?"
So what do you do to get traffic?
There are numerous ways to build traffic to your landing page, you could do some of the following:
• Pay for Traffic (PPC pay per click)
• Traffic exchanges
• Banner exchanges
• Write and submit article to article directories
• Utilize Social media to get people to your page
• Go to forums in your niche and invite people!
• Have a linking strategy that works
• etc. etc.
As you can see there are a lot of ways to actively get Traffic to your landing page and you can include in there getting affiliates and JV Partners to promote your page, which is another strategy I will tell you about next time..
