We reason, just about everything about our lives, who we marry, how many children to have, where we are going to work, and even at the end of life, where we want to be buried.
Why then, cannot we reason with God.
The Old Testament is world widely accepted as being true, with few exceptions from some other religions. But all in all, everyone believes it.
Lets assume that, Jesus was just a prophet, sent by God, to inform the world of His displeasure with mankind, and He had sent Christ, to preach a new living way of salvation to all mankind.
Then why, didn't you believe Him?
You say, He was a man sent by God as a prophet, then why dispute His sayings? Interesting question isn't it?
Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. To reason; That which is thought, or which is alleged in words, as the ground or cause of opinion, conclusion or determination. God brings good out of evil, and therefore it were but reason we should trust God to govern his own world.(Webster.) Should we not reason with the Lord on our thoughts, understanding, and conceptions, of what is, good and evil, true, and false? Has not God the power to rule, choose, and delegate authority to His own Kingdom? Can not God choose His emissary for our salvation, who can tell God how to run His kingdom, His plan of Salvation and His Christ?
Is God unrighteous to cause murder, for the rejection of His word? No, God forbid, each man has the right to choose whom he shall serve, if he serves God, then he is a wise man, and shall live a life according to the will of God. But if a man chooses not to conform to the word of God, then that man will live his life as he desires until the day of judgment, for Christ said, I come to bring life and bring it more abundantly. There is no where in scripture, where a man has the right to kill another man, out side of righteous war. War, and murder, are two separate things.
This is the word of the Lord and the word of the prophets that you take such thought of;
Jdg 10:14 Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. Psa 81:12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
Men take counsel on many matters concerning religion. Many of these religious counsels are concerning the false gods of pride, and lust, therefore God has gave them up to take counsel with their gods of their own imaginations. They war and fight, never gaining anything for their actions, they bring shame upon themselves. These false doctrines are full of mistakes, and ofttimes rebuke their own words, being not understandable.
Isa 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:.
You say that God has no respect of persons, their money, stature, notoriety, fame, or position upon the earth, then these words would then apply to all, and not just to the Children of Israel.
How can you denie the existence of Israel, when even your prophets speak of then in a manner in which, they are spoken of as the Children of God, don't you believe the prophets?
And they(Israel.) shall be my people, and I will be their God: And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. (Jer 32:38-40)
Let us all reason with the Lord on these matters.
How then do we reason with the Lord?
Threw His word, and by speaking to Him.
Speak to Him you say?
Yes, we have the communication that we need to reason and talk with the Lord.
The Christian is promised this in Scripture, and the unsaved has an open door to learn of God and His Christ, if they truly desire it. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb 4:15-16.)
You have all heard the prophets, where a child shall be born of a virgin, and shall be the saviour of the world. Jesus fulfilled this prophecy, and all the law, then again, why do you not believe the prophets. These are men you regard so highly, these are the men, where-by you conduct yourself, and still you reject the simplest matters concerning salvation. You taunt, repress, and anger many, that wish only to serve the living God threw Jesus Christ. Do not you understand the Jesus, whom you do not believe, is God? The Father, for there is only one God, has chosen the personage, or likeness of Jesus, to communicate His laws, will and mandates to not just a few, but to all mankind. We are all brothers in the flesh, and God desires us all to be brothers, and sisters in the spirit, for flesh, and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. You fight, whom you do not know, you war and fail, you strive about laws, are are unlawful within yourself.
Let Us Reason Together, saith the Lord. Shall I bow to your laws, and desires, or shall you accept the covenant, that I have set up with Israel, and you gentiles? That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD. I Am.
