Legitimate work at home jobs can be hard to find. The problem isn't that there's any lack of jobs available, but that the Internet is filled with so much junk and confusion that it can be hard to find them. Since so many people are interested in finding legitimate work at home jobs, a lot of people have started selling the information.

Which, actually, wouldn't be so bad if the information was good. But much of what's available out there about working online or working from home is just so much hooey designed to separate you from your cash. Fortunately, there are a few ways to evaluate any work at home opportunity to see to see if it's the read deal or no.

Rule Number One - Does It Make Sense?

You are a smart person. Take a step back from the hype and look at what the allegedly legitimate work at home jobs are selling. Does it make sense? Can you see people paying for whatever the product or service is? Can you see them paying you for it? If you can't, then move on.

Rule Number Two - What Are You Selling?

This sounds like an obvious question, but if you take a look at a lot of these programs, you'll find that what you'll mostly be selling is the program. If all you're selling is access to the program to other people, then it's essentially, if not literally, a pyramid scheme. Likewise, if the service you're being asked to pay to have the opportunity to do seems nebulous or vague, then you're almost certainly being scammed. Run away quickly.

Rule Number Three - Would You Be Embarrassed To Tell Your Family?

This is pretty simple; would you be embarrassed to tell people you do it? If the answer is yes, then the odds are good that there's something there that's not up to snuff, and you're not looking at legitimate work jobs. Trust your conscience and your gut when you're evaluating any kind of job program.
