A legitimate home business can be found and yes, they really do exist. Forget all the noise you hear about "pyramid schemes", etc. Most businesses run on a pyramid, with the business owner, president or CEO at the top, and everyone else below him.

There is nothing illegal about it. As long as a product or service is being sold, it is perfectly legal. Illegal schemes involve signing people up under you, making money off their sign-up fees, and offering no product. Stay away from any company that does not offer quality products.

Many people will disagree with me, but my advice is to join a company that has been in business for a number of years. Stay away from the start-ups, because they have no history of honesty and integrity. The new companies may be around the next couple of years, and they may not.

A business that has been around for several years is probably legitimate; otherwise, it would have folded by now. People figure out the scam artists pretty quickly, and they and their companies just do not last. There are home businesses in existence today that have impeccable records, and you will not find any negative publicity about them.

Find one of these companies and get started building your home business. You will not make a lot of money quickly in ANY business, so do not be disappointed when that does not happen. It will take a lot of time and commitment to build a successful business.
