Dealing with your Lawn Care Weed problems is an ongoing predicament and that is due to the fact that weeds grow all the time. Preventing the trouble prior to it starting is the solution, but there is more than that. Getting a grip on the problem is foremost.

What to do with pesky weeds? You can discover some things from the weeds in a lawn if you can identify what they are indicating. Weeds are an indication of poor soil drainage. Knotweed grows in compacted soil and Crabgrass is from mowing the grass too close or from too much watering. Clover grows if the lawn is under fertilized.

A quality top dressing lawn care curriculum is the way to get started. Spreading a little fertilizer or other organic material will help the soil to become looser and give the grass better conditions to grow in. When grass is able to grow thicker it will choke the weeds, making the lawn even thicker. The secret to killing weeds to start with is getting the before they mature. Killing weeds prior to germination is called pre emergent weed control and after germination it is called post emergent weed control.

When you are purchasing weed control know what kind of weeds you are fighting. Starting with pre-emergent in the spring, following up with post-emergent approximately 60 days later will help keep the weeds under control. Weed control lasts approximately 60 days depending on the amount of precipitation. The more precipitation the lesser the effectiveness of the weed control. For the optimal lawn care weed control its imperative to read and adhere to the directions on the packaging.

You do not want to be excessive. Remember more is not necessarily better.
