As nobody want to be stamped as 'crazy' or 'nuts,' then if you suspect that one of your friend or relative is in depression, a little trick might be necessary to confirm your thought, such as by arranging an informal casual meeting between you, the psychologist, and your friend. Just let your friend think that it is only a friendly social meeting without knowing that the real intention of the meeting. After some moments of meeting, the psychologist might have some clue whether your friend might be in a depression or not.
If there are clues that your friend might be in depression, then ask the psychologist for advices as what should be done next, to fully confirm whether it is a depression or not, and to anticipate it.
