Any company knows that relationships within teams should be built and nourished. Imagine different people in a single office spending every day with each other. Without team building, negative characteristics may surface and turn off teammates. You have to make sure that people are able to work together properly and maintain a harmonious atmosphere in the office.

Team building enhances communications between and among your employees. It encourages people to talk with each other about matters other than those related to work. As people get to know each other through talking, they are given an impression that the workplace is a pleasant place to come to every day.

Along with this, employees are more encouraged to come to the office and work their best when there are relationships built around. Team building helps you create a support group that is able to hold each and every one of your team. This helps create a strong bond that leads to friendships and healthy collaborative relationships.

Another goal of building a team is getting everyone in the same page, according to the goals and purpose of the company. Every meeting should bring employees closer to the realization of your company's goals and purposes. As soon as you are able to instill the company goals in your team, they would learn to create standards for them to base on, and their actions and efforts would be directed to the company's goals.

There are a lot of options for team building. You can design your own set of exercises and activities according to the design of your team. Some exercises would only work for a large team with 100 employees, while some would only work for a small team. There are activities that focus more on the communications, while there are some that help teams collaborate and cooperate better.

There are a lot of resources in which you can draw inspiration from. The important thing is that you would be able to encourage your people to interact, build relationships with each other, and set their goals according to the vision of the company.
