When a search engine is crawling the internet in search of websites to add to its database, it will be looking at the content of each site. While looking at each site, they will be determining which keywords that this site is using to generate traffic. However, having content that reflects the keywords that will bring the most potential customers to your site is not the only thing a website owner must worry about. Adding new SEO articles to your website frequently will help the search engine to keep coming back to you.
If you leave the same SEO articles up on your website all of the time, the search engine crawlers will likely skip over your site on their search because they have already added your content to its database. However, with new content being added, they will want to add more to their list. This will allow your website to move up the rankings on the search results page. Having more new content will keep you moving up until you reach the top.
It is important to make sure that you update your SEO articles frequently enough that the search engines notice but not so frequently that some of your new content is not noticed. This can be a very fine balance. Practice will help you to determine the best frequency for adding new content to your site. This does not mean that you have to wait to write content until you are ready to post it. On the contrary, you can write as much as you want and save it to post later.
Another important reason for keeping your SEO articles updated on your website is to keep people coming back. Most people do not want to read the same thing over and over again. When they are looking for information on a topic, they will read something and unless they find it particularly helpful, they will begin to look elsewhere for more information. Adding more content to your site will keep them coming back to your site for more information rather than somewhere else.
