Is your marriage alive and vibrant?

As time goes on in a marriage, many factors play a role in helping it to become a ho-hum affair... dulled and void of its magic.

Careers take up time, children take up time, shopping and cleaning and laundry and just plain life fill the hours of the days and there just doesn't seem to be any room at all for just you two.

Make that room. Find that time.

Drop the things that will be there tomorrow. The rule "put off today what you can do tomorrow" needs to apply to keeping your marriage alive. All that cleaning and fixing and worrying will wait.

Find time to take a mini vacation. Go to a bed and breakfast inn in some romantic not so far away town near the lake or in the country in the middle of the week. Those vacation days from work can be used.

Put that extra money aside and plan an exotic trip to Tahiti or Belize or whatever magic spot is calling you in your mind.

You can find someone to babysit the children. Use an exchange with friends. Bribe mom and dad with a trip of their own that you plan for them. Hire a reliable niece or nephew. It can be done.

Call your spouse from work after making reservations at your favorite eating spot and make that date.

Take time for intimacy. Make time for intimacy.

Intimacy is the glue that makes two truly one... tying everything in your daily lives together. Worrying over bills, over children, over jobs, over not having enough hours in the day to do all that needs to be done...intimacy ties it all together That may mean a quiet hug in the midst of the chaos of getting the children ready for bed or while raking the yard or fixing a meal or even in the market shopping for groceries. An unexpected gentle touch on the shoulder can mean more than fifteen dozen roses. A bouquet of flowers for no reason at all to husband or wife can open that depth of feeling you have between you.

Use your imagination. Remember why you married.

Perhaps your marriage is in trouble ... or already has a crack in it or is broken.

If there is a problem .... a relationship breaking serious problem..it CAN be fixed.

Read The Magic of Making Up ... How to Fix Your Broken Relationship. It will guide you in repairing what needs to be repaired and fixing what needs to be fixed.
