Many business people whether they are dentists, doctors, mechanics or whatever often find that customers have to sometimes bring their children with them when they come for an appointment.
It can sometimes be frustrating to deal with the parents when their kids are bored and interrupting you all the time. With this in mind it may be a good idea for you to set aside a little place that the kids can go and play whilst you deal with the matter in hand.
Nobody is implying that you open up a lavish room with lots of things to entertain the kids. Far from it, a little corner will do the job just as well.
You could fill the corner with some jigsaw puzzles, toys, writing and coloring tools or even a board for the kids to draw on. Anything that you can think of that is suitable for kids of a certain age group will help.
The main idea is to keep the kids busy while you sort out your business in peace. This can be a good way to make sure that the customer will return especially if they know that the kids will also be taken care of.
The same principle can be applied to any hairdressers, dentist, doctors or anywhere that has the kids as the customers and not the parents.
Having a little room or corner of the room filled with things to keep the kids happy does not have to cost you a lot to set up either. You may have relatives or friends that are getting rid of things that their kids no longer have a use for. As long as the condition is good then you could find a use for it at your place of work.
It is the simple gestures that can make your business a success and make the kids want to keep returning.
