Hay can cost a lot of money so don't forget to look after your grazing throughout the year so that you need to feed less feed. Section grazing off throughout autumn and spring when the grass grows fast so that they not only have good grass in the summer but will have fresh sections in winter.

Take a while to access the food you need for your horse. Some horses such as heavy weights and good doers only need small bucket feeds so access this and don't feed your horse any more than it needs. Over feeding can seriously affect their health as well as your bank balance. Look at all feeds available where you may be feeding several different types you may only need one course mix.
