Keep Your Marriage and Bring Back the Love

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, boast or brag. It is not proud, rude, or selfish. Love does not become angered easily and it keeps no record of the wrongs performed by loved ones. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always hangs on. Love never fails. Many know that what I just wrote is part of scripture from the bible. Whether you are spiritual or not, if you do not have love, then you feel all alone and have nothing.

Sadly marriages today, a lot of times, are lacking in the love department and eventually fail. Two people divided against one another will not last. It takes two to work toward a relationship and it takes a lifetime to achieve a happy marriage. Keeping your marriage strong and healthy should be something every spouse should work to accomplish, however, many do not and that leaves their marriage headed toward separation and divorce if something does not change to prevent it.

Many relationships fail due to communication issues, money problems or lack of affection. If two partners love one another then they will want to work out whatever they are going through and do their best to work together to solve the marital issues they face. Love is not something that just happens, it is something that you choose and work at. No relationship is perfect. You should never pretend to be in a perfect marriage or that you are in love if you are not. No problem is impossible to fix if you love one another.

I know I have seen people that I believed had 'the perfect marriage' only to witness their downfall and what their divorce left behind. I know your marriage is not perfect or you would not be reading this wanting to get the help you need to save your relationship. However, I do know that you love your spouse because you are here. Having the illusion of a perfect partnership will only make others think you are happy when your feelings are the ones that matter. After 20+ years of marriage, I cannot say it is perfect but it is full of love and that is what matters. We have to set goals and work toward them together as well as take time for each other regardless of how much we are put out.

If your marriage is suffering and you want to keep your marriage and rekindle the love that you have for one another, it can happen with the proper advice and help. Nothing is impossible if you are both willing to go that extra mile to get to where you can be a stronger and happier couple. You would not be here if you did not believe that there is hope and my friend, there is hope for you and your spouse.
