I have actually heard people talking before that have said just because they're married does not mean that they are best friends. I found that totally random! I mean, it didn't make sense to me at all because here you are making a lifelong commitment to your significant other but they are just your friend?

I would think that they would be your best friend because you would marry your best friend, right? you would not marry just any old friend. You would want to marry your best friend. At least that's how I see it anyway.

I think marriage is more than just a piece of paper. I think it's also more than just having a family and sharing a bed. You need to communicate with your spouse who IS your best friend and let them know how you're feeling. Let them know what you're thinking about how the relationship is going.

Over the years we seem to get complacent with one another and in all honesty we shouldn't. We should be trying to make them happy for the rest of our lives. We should be communicating, interacting and being present in the moment and not just with our spouse, but with our entire family.

So, if you're NOT doing those things then you quite possibly are letting your best friend, which is your spouse, down. You need to appreciate what you have with your spouse and your family. The love and the togetherness that you so easily Overlook and tell your best friend, your spouse how much you love them and appreciate them every day.
