Jogging Strollers Aren't Just For Running

Expert Author Gerard J Murray

Jogging strollers are fantastic machines that enable us parents to get out and jog with our kids in tow. What could be better? You can maintain your fitness routine, get lots of fresh air and keep your little one's close.

Jogging Strollers Aren't Just For Jogging

Consider this. If you are going to spend the money on a good jogging unit, why not use it for everyday. The truth is, they are so loaded with features, that a boring old everyday umbrella stroller is going to seem like a real step down when you use it after using your jogger.

Features Galore

Jogging strollers are loaded with all of the features that you will appreciate in an everyday stroller. When you are jogging there are some key things you need that translate well to an everyday stroller. Take a drink holder for example. Sure, you want to make sure you have your hydration along with you when you run. So, obviously, you need to have a drink holder.

However, when I am out at the mall with my kids, or walking on the sidewalk or just casually going somewhere with them, I usually like to have a coffee. And my wife usually likes to have tea. It's pretty hard to push any stroller all the time with one hand. So there is good use for a drink holder which most any jogging stroller will have without a doubt.

Lets talk for a minute about safety and comfort. One of the things that bugs me about umbrella and lightweight strollers is that the seating area is typically not well constructed, or constructed from a flimsy fabric. With a jogging stroller, the fabric is always good quality and quite durable. It has to be. Otherwise, it would not withstand the rigors that a jogging stroller has to endure while on trails and so on.

Jogging Strollers Have A Great Cargo Capacity

Finally, all jogging units have a great cargo capacity, usually much beyond that of an ordinary stroller. That's typically because they are just plain larger. But what is also means is that you have lots of room to carry all the things a young child needs. I take my kids strolling after about 6 months when they can sit up on their own. But at that time, they still needs lots of stuff like diapers, wipes, bottles, change of clothes, toys to keep them occupied and so on.

If you are going to buy a jogging stroller to keep fit, you should seriously consider using it as your everyday stroller as well. They are well equipped to do the job.

These days, jogging strollers are well equipped to handle the demans of jogging and those of an everyday stroller. Want to learn more about my choices? click here to read my reviews.
