In this time of technology, I keep wondering to myself, why on earth is it so difficult to find someone's email address? Now, I am not talking about a person you are in contact with on a regular basis because, obviously, you can simply ask them and put an end to this issue once and for all.

But what about a forgotten school chum or someone you have not been in contact with for a number of years. For example, I actually have a half brother and I have never really gotten to know him, have no current address or phone number, and would like to find an email to contact him. But it is really difficult.

I just feel that all this info should be easily accessible in a database that anyone can search. I don't even care if there is a small fee involved, although free is obviously better.

Think about phone numbers. All we need to do is call information or open the phone book, or even do a little bit of research online, and voila, there you go, you have your number. Unless it is unlisted, then that is another matter for another article.

But with the email problem, there simply is not a big book of addresses to consult. Maybe things will change soon, or sometime in the future, where it will be a simple matter to locate this information. It would really help too if everyone signed up for things under their real name, but we all know that does not often happen.

I guess the one good thing is I did finally locate a database where you can find someone's email address for that small fee I was mentioning earlier. It works great but I would still rather find a free and easy method.
