Is Your Work From Home Online Business Fizzling Out?

The prospect of a work from home online type business is exciting! It should sizzle, not fizzle. So what's the problem? I bet I know.

This is what I bet happens:

1. You get a new idea or a new marketing technique and you're all pumped up about it. You've just found the "silver bullet" to your success. You can't wait to get out of bed to get started.

2. You get all the details ironed out, maybe make a great looking website with some compelling content, pretty pictures and all the cool plugins you can squeeze in.

3. Then all the "fun" work is over and it's time to start "working" on promoting your site.

4. You start playing around with the latest and greatest gadgets and gizmos, but you soon discover that articles don't write themselves, that back links just don't appear out of thin air, and that PPC is not all that easy to manage.

5. Pretty soon, the enthusiasm is all gone and reality has set in - big time! It's not "push button" easy.

6. So, you move on to the next project and the cycle repeats itself.

7. You start hopping around from program to program like a grasshopper jacked up on Mountain Dew and never finish anything you start.

8. You find yourself with 20 windows open on your browser and each one contains a new offering that you can't live without. You lose all focus and get depressed because you're never going to make any money online.

Did I get it right? I bet I did. I know the routine because I used to do it, too. Somewhere along the way, I should have gotten a clue that the phrase "work from home online" contained the word "work."

There is no "silver bullet" and the people who come up with these programs and ideas worked their butts off to get where they are. They didn't get to the top overnight and you won't either, barring some miracle from God.

But the only way for you to fail is if you quit, if you just totally give up. Try taking a step back and regaining your focus. Focus, perseverance and determination are the things that will keep you in the game and keep pushing you to the top. Having an internet business is work, but let's face it, no matter how much work it takes to succeed, it beats the heck out of going to work for someone else. Don't you agree?

Your time and effort will pay off 1000 fold if you just stick with it and forge ahead.
