If you own and operate a small business, then surely you know how important good quality copy can be to drive new customers, repeat sales and referrals through your doors.
But how do you write good quality copy?
What do you say?
And what if you don't like to write?
Good questions.
And in today's article I'm going to address each one.
So give this article a read, and see for yourself.
Is Your Sales Letter Missing This Important Ingredient:
So you decided to sit down to write a sales letter. But you're not an "expert" at writing, although you do know your product or service like the back of your hand. So how can you take what's in your head, and put it onto paper.
It's easy.
Don't write it at all. In fact, grab a tape recorder and record yourself selling your product or service just like you would if you were face to face and talking with someone. What would you say? How would you open the conversation? What kinds of questions would you ask? How would you ask for the order?
And then once you record yourself, go back and listen to it. And use what you hear as the basis for your sales letter.
Sound doable?
It is.
But there is one more thing you must know, and that is this: Make sure your sales pitch reeks with passion. Truth is if you are passionate about something, then your passion will transfer to your prospect like stripes on a zebra. And this passion is what'll push your prospect to buy from you.
Just think:
Have you ever been pitched by someone who didn't give a rat's behind about what they were selling? I have. And I can tell you nothing drives prospects away faster than someone who is not passionate about what they are selling. So make sure passion is oozing from your pores. And make sure your sales letter conveys this passion too.
That's where your audio recording comes into play. Because if you are passionate when you speak about your product or service, then that'll convey in print too.
And if you want to kick this up a notch, then record yourself in a real live sales presentation which will capture all the little glitches... nuances... and figures of speech you use that all help to make your pitch come alive.
Include this in your next sales letter, and you're all but guaranteed to have a smash hit.
