Is There a Cure For Panic Attacks? Natural Treatments That Work!

Panic attacks are not only uncomfortable and scary, but they can be debilitating to your overall life if they occur frequently. After having just one attack most people become fearful that it will happen again, but after experiencing multiple attacks most people are demanding to know: is there a cure for panic attacks?

If you walked into a doctor's office today and asked "is there a cure for panic attacks?" you are likely to be told no just as the doctor whips out a prescription pad and sends you off to get prescription anti-anxiety medications.

Technically, this is true. You cannot take an OTC medication or purchase a special product that will guarantee you never have another panic/anxiety attack. Yet, there are some things you can change about your daily lifestyle which could go a long way to preventing future attacks.

Understanding Panic Attacks

If you want to answer the question, "Is there a cure for panic attacks?" you have to first understand what it is. When you go through an attack your body basically perceives a severe threat to your safety when there is actually no threat present.

Your body literally panics as if you have just seen or heard something completely terrifying and it forces you into fight or flight mode. This is why many people feel a desperate need to run away or escape while others may completely freeze up and feel unable to move or function.

Is There a Cure for Panic Attacks?

Remember, there is no solid guarantee that you will never again experience an attack, but that doesn't mean you can't do some things that will drastically reduce the chances of having one. This usually starts with controlling the level of anxiety, stress, and tension in your body and preoccupying your mind. This is because it's part of an anxiety disorder.

Start by adding some form of relaxation into your daily life. If you can do one of the following things every single day you will start to train your body to relax while working the tension out of your muscles:

  • Yoga
  • Pilates
  • Meditation
  • Deep breathing exercises
Deep breathing is essential for everyone who has had an attack because they can actually be used in the midst of an attack to ease the sense of panic in the body and relax the mind. This can actually prevent the body from going into a full on panic attack or shorten the length of an attack, but you have to practice and train your body to respond to the exercises.

Remember that prescription for anti-anxiety medication we said a doctor would likely prescribe if you went in today and asked "Is there a cure for panic attacks?"

Well, many people do take those pills on a daily basis and it can drastically improve your chances of avoiding future panic/anxiety attacks. Yet, when you go this route you have to worry about interactions with other medications or alcohol, uncomfortable or even dangerous side effects, and you are doing absolutely nothing to permanently cure your panic disorder!

Find out how I manage to completely cure panic attacks and be free of them for the rest of my life!

This is why more people are searching for ways to eliminate panic attacks without prescription medications. That comes down not only to adding relaxation methods to your daily life but also learning some very effective control strategies for panic attacks treatment that can also be used on a daily basis.
